Mayei Koroma is from the village of Mayatta, where her parents are both Muslim farmers. There are seven children in her family and her parents could not send them to school due to the cost of doing so. When EduNations came to their village, they were able to enroll her due to the free education provided. She is now in the EduNations Junior Secondary school Mapainda where her favorite subject is Physical Health Education (P.H.E). Moreover, she has now put her faith in Jesus Christ and loves reading her Bible and praying. Mayei wants to become a Nurse when she is older so that she can save lives.
