“Hello, I am Morlai Kamara, and I am eighteen years of age. I am returning as an SSS2 (11th grade) student with a concentration in Science.

I was born and raised in Fintonia Village in Tambaka Chiefdom in the northern territory of Bombali District. I am from a family of 3 siblings. I sadly lost my father at the early age of 11 years. We were left to be raised by my single mother who engaged in porridge  trading in order to settle our daily meals and personal needs. At my early age, life was very difficult for us, especially myself as the first born of the family. I was engaged in motorcycle riding working under the supervision of my boss who is the owner of the motorcycle, just to help my mother with the settlement of our basic needs, clothing and personal needs.

Honestly, I was not expecting myself to persevere and reach the top of the mountain where I am today here at EduNations Boarding home.

However, I found hope through EduNations, and I am grateful for the amazing transformation that has happened with the love and support of EduNations.

EduNations has impacted my education and personal life so much, which I am very pleased and happy to testify. Throughout my time at EduNations primary, junior and ongoing senior secondary school here in Rokassa, I have been impacted with free quality education and psychosocial support which keeps me going stronger and helps me to persevere in my academic pursuit.

Before coming to EduNations, it was very difficult for me to stand in public and express myself among my friends, however with the help of EduNations I can boldly stand and express myself in the public and conduct school devotion without any fear or shyness.

I was born from a Muslim family, but during my time at EduNations I have experienced the love of God for my life here on earth. I’m so thankful to Jesus Christ for dying to save me from sin and eternal death, however, I am earnestly praying for the salvation of my beloved family.

After I graduate from high school my future plan is to study mechanical engineering. I have developed the desire to create new technologies or improve existing ones, making a tangible impact on society and be the one to bring change in the lives of my family members and the community at large.

Thank you, EduNations, for igniting hope. God bless you, and I love you.’
