Hand washing clubs play a crucial role in educating students about health, personal hygiene, and the proper hand washing process. At EduNations, we are committed to maintaining the WASH (Water And Sanitation Hygiene) Clubs and continuing hygiene education for our students and communities.
On October 7, 2024, a training session on hand washing and the establishment of a WASH Club was held at EduNations Hope Academy Primary and Junior Secondary School in Mapainda. This training, led by health professional Ibrahim Kamara from the Tambiama health center, focused on promoting good hygiene practices.
The training involved 10 students, the school's science teacher, the village headman, community leaders, and child protection agents from the Mapainda community. The creation of WASH Clubs and the emphasis on proper hand washing are vital initiatives that should be practiced not only in schools but also at home and throughout the community.
"We are deeply grateful to EduNations for not only providing education for our students but also supplying materials to support the WASH Clubs in our schools," said Mr. Mohamed Lamin Kabia, science teacher at EduNations Hope Academy Junior Secondary School, Mapainda. "Thank you, and may God bless you."
Samuel Sorie Conteh, a child protection agent in Mapainda, added, "Thank you, EduNations, for introducing the WASH Club at our school. This initiative truly reinforces the saying, 'Health is Wealth.'"
