After training a group of young students for a singing competition in Mayatta, Sallu James Mansaray had a renewed sense of passion for working with youth.  Soon after winning the competition, Sallu was told about a teaching vacancy at EduNations, where he was offered a teaching position.  As a trained and qualified teacher, he was excited to have this opportunity “to continue in serving kids.”  For the past four years, Sallu James Mansaray has been teaching Agricultural Science at EduNations Hope Academy Junior Secondary School in Rokassa.

Growing up in a pastor’s home, Sallu relies on his “absolute faith and trust in Jesus Christ.” In a recent interview, Sallu shared how EduNations has personally impacted his life:

“EduNations gave me the opportunity to serve God in purity and in strength. It has fostered great improvement in my spiritual life. Living in a remote area has helped me economically. They motivate their educators with satisfactory and timely salaries.  Today, I'm able to save and fully support myself and my siblings at the university. At EduNations, hope is really ignited…”

Sallu is just one of 128 teachers that EduNations supports on a monthly basis, by sponsoring a teacher you can ignite hope in a teacher’s life and in turn impact their students as well.  Teacher Sponsorship compensates our EduNations teachers and allows them to impact our students with a sense of security and joy!
