At EduNations, we believe that investing in teachers is investing in the future of our students. That’s why we need your help to Save the Teachers and raise $25,000 by March 28 to fund the salaries of our dedicated educators in Sierra Leone.
Did you know that EduNations employs over 150 teachers and staff across our schools in Sierra Leone? We hire the most qualified and passionate educators, committed to shaping the lives of children through education. However, in a country where many schools struggle to pay teachers on time—or at all—this commitment is not easy to maintain. Teacher turnover is high in many developing countries as dedicated professionals seek more stable employment.
EduNations is different. We are committed to paying our teachers in full and on time each month, ensuring they can focus fully on educating the next generation without the burden of financial uncertainty. This makes our schools a trusted environment for both students and staff, and helps us retain the highly qualified educators we need to fulfill our mission. But we face financial challenges in maintaining these commitments, and that’s where you come in.
Providing teacher salaries accounts for approximately 22% of our yearly program budget. This is one of the most critically important areas of our comprehensive education plan, but also one of the most challenging to sustain.
Three years ago, the government of Sierra Leone instituted a 100% salary increase for all government teachers, a necessary step to ensure fair compensation for educators. To remain competitive and retain our qualified teachers, EduNations committed to a 25% salary increase each year, gradually matching government standards through the 2025-2026 school year.
While this is an important and much-needed step, it has placed a significant strain on our financial resources. Your support is crucial in helping us fulfill this promise to our teachers and avoid the financial uncertainty that could jeopardize their commitment to EduNations and our students.
We are launching this Save the Teachers Campaign to raise $25,000 by March 28. With your donation, we can continue to pay our teachers on time and in full, helping to retain the best educators and ensuring quality education for the children of Sierra Leone.
By joining this campaign, you can make a difference in the lives of hundreds of students who rely on the commitment and passion of their teachers. Your gift ensures that students not only receive a great education but also experience the stability and care that a dedicated teacher provides.
Looking for a long-term impact? Consider becoming part of our Teacher Sponsorship Program. This program allows individuals and churches to sponsor the salaries of our teachers, providing ongoing support, encouragement, and prayer. Our goal is to have 25 Teachers fully sponsored in 2025! Together, we can build a strong foundation of sustainability for our schools, securing the future of education for children in Sierra Leone.
If you know of any additional funding sources or organizations with available funds, we would greatly appreciate your help in spreading the word. Reaching out to others could help us achieve this goal faster and more effectively.
With your help, we can reach our goal of raising $25,000 by March 28 and continue providing quality education in Sierra Leone. Every donation counts, and your generosity will directly impact the lives of our teachers and the students they serve.
