Dean Weaver

President and a founding member of EduNations has been actively involved in providing education and empowerment for children in Africa since 2002. Dean and his wife Beth have six children; three of whom were adopted internationally, two from Sierra Leone.  Dr. Weaver received his D. Min from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminar and is currently the Lead Pastor of Memorial Park: An Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh, PA.

Rick Kennedy

Vice President, is a founding member of EduNations.  He and his wife, Christine, have three children, including a daughter, Mabinty, whom they adopted from Sierra Leone in 2003.  Rick is a partner in the firm Hodgson Russ LLP where he has practiced environmental law and the law governing lawyers for the past 30 years.  He sits on its Board of Directors and is the firm’s Assistant General Counsel.  He is also a member of the Board of Directors of The Chapel at Crosspoint and Jericho Road Community Health Center.

Chris Delposen

Secretary, joined the board in 2008. He and his wife Margy, have 4 boys. He is the CFO of Softwriters, Inc. a company which develops software for long-term care pharmacies. He obtained his MBA from West Chester University in Pennsylvania and undergraduate degree at Geneva College. In addition to his work with EduNations, Chris is a Board Member and CFO of Opportunity Builders, a not-for-profit developer of affordable housing and an Elder at Memorial Park Church in Pittsburgh.

George Githiaka

Treasurer, is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others, God has shown us love and we are to give that very same love to the world. George received his undergraduate degree from La Roche College in Accounting and Finance in 2010 and received his masters degree in International Business from Point Park University in 2013. He now works at the Bank of New York Mellon.

Doug Thompson

Director, is Pastor of Care Ministries at WARD EPC in Northville, MI.  While as a student at Wheaton College, he spent his junior year at the Sorbonne in Paris, France. Before seminary, he was sent by the Mennonite Central Committee’s TEACHERS ABROAD PROGRAM to Sierra Leone. For three years there, as a contract teacher, he taught French, Bible, and Algebra at the Taiama Secondary School. After seminary, he was an associate pastor at Ward Church, working in Care, College Ministries, and Small Groups. He and his wife were the first World Outreach couple and served in France for 10 years as church planters. He has been on a number of short term trips to Mexico, Siberia, Ireland, France, Mali, Ghana, Sierra Leone, and the Central African Republic. He is currently the chairman of the World Outreach Committee of the EPC.

Betsy Rumer

Director, has a strong calling to missions and believes that the best way to impact future generations is to alleviate poverty through education. She has been serving EduNations as a volunteer for several years, has traveled regularly to Sierra Leone, and became a member of the EduNations board in 2011. She received her Masters of Divinity from Trinity Seminary and currently serves as Pastor of Spiritual Formation at Memorial Park Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Betsy is married to Roger, who is equally interested in caring for the “least of these”, and they have two daughters.

Steve Little

Director, is a Professor and also the Chairman of the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. He received his PhD from MIT in 2005. Since that time, he has established a reputation as a nationally and internationally recognized scholar and award-winning educator. He and his wife, Heather are passionate about the well being of African children and have traveled to West Africa to commission teachers and schools as a part of their involvement with EduNations.

Paul Molingowski

Director, joined the EduNations board in 2012, he lives in Allison Park with Carolyn and their 4 children. Paul graduated from Grove City College in 1989 with majors in Business Administration and Political Science. Currently a sales manager in the healthcare information technology industry, Paul & his family attend Memorial Park Church and enjoy fly fishing, golfing and skiing.


Scott Graham

Director, has made several trips to Sierra Leone on behalf of the Presbytery of the Alleghenies of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, and has become an enthusiastic advocate of child sponsorships and the mission of Edunations. Scott received his M.Div. at Fuller Theological Seminary and has done post-graduate work at Blackfriars, University of Oxford. He is Pastor of Cup EPC in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. He and his wife Kristina have three grown children. Passions include music, hiking, and furthering the Kingdom of God.
